Last week, 5 AHS music students performed at the Craterian Theater in Medford as part of the Stars on Stage program, celebrating state music soloists. The free concert featured the Percussion Ensemble Trio of senior Ryan Freiheit, junior Gabe Neimark, and sophomore Jackson Williams, as well as Jack Diab on stand-up bass and Lily Dunlap on violin.
The students then traveled to Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon for their judged performances. The Craterian program wrote:
Craterian Performances is proud to shine a spotlight on outstanding young talent at this 16th annual free community event. Jackson County winners of the District 8 solo music competition will perform with the style, grace and skill that earned them slots in the statewide contest to be held later in the spring. Whatever type of music you enjoy — vocal, wind instruments, strings, piano — you’ll be amazed by, and proud of, these local teens. Show your community spirit and come to encourage these young people on their way to representing Southern Oregon at the state competition!
